Ocimum x africanum
Family: Lamiaceae
Also known as Holy Basil, we call it "Tulsi" - a world-renowned stress-relieving, immune-stimulating tea basil from India, where it is widely cultivated and perennialized near homes and temples for a variety of ceremonial reasons. We grow it every year and use it strategically as an understory insect and disease repellent plant for tomatoes. Wonderful cultivar.
