Phaseolus vulgaris,
Rich, creamy, high in protein. Spanish settlers brought this bean to North America. Bush Half Runner Heirloom and it has become a Santa Fe Market favorite. We obtained the Bolitas Bean from our friend Jared Haygood of Lineage Seeds in Northern New Mexico where it's grown widely by a multi demographic of small scale organic farmers. With its roots in New Mexico it displays a decent amount of drought tolerance ~ plants ripen uniformly and are easy to shell. Bolitas makes a great pot of creamy beans.
