MEMBERSHIP MATTERS!
The True Meaning of CSA
Community Supported Agriculture is a wonderful avenue for community members to contribute to a thriving local food system. Before the first seeds go into the soil, CSA members pledge their support to a local farm by purchasing a share of the produce to be grown that season. Having this income before the growing season begins allows the farm to cover overhead costs and get to work!
Each year, we reconnect with the expeditionary nature of agriculture; there’s no telling how a particular season will unfold, what challenges and surprises will emerge. In truth, growing food has always been a vital dance with Mother Nature. By being a CSA member, you are stepping into the rhythm, joining in the risks and bounties of the farm. Season after season, we infuse our work with knowledge, determination, team spirit, and joy! Our promise is to deliver the best of what we grow to our supporters, to commit to feeding you as best we can. In return, we ask for patience, grace and trust as we embark on this wild venture together.
How It Works
In 2024, our CSA program will run for 23 weeks, from mid-May through October. Every week, you will receive a diverse array of farm fresh produce. This year, MASA is proudly offering two sizes of Farmer’s Choice Boxes to fill your family’s needs. CSA members do not choose which vegetables they receive in their share; instead the farmers will provide the best of what is available from our fields. A well rounded, complete offering of staple vegetables can be expected.
CSA pickup will be every Thursday, 4-7pm, at the Farm (just south of 75th and Arapahoe). Throughout the growing season our MASA CSA ‘‘pick of the week’’ will be posted in your email inbox, so you can prepare accordingly!
Please contact the farm ahead of time if you will miss a pick up, and pass along any unwanted food to friends or neighbors. If a pre-packed box just isn’t for you, the farmstand will be open with a selection of fresh produce (hourly schedule pending).
Each year, the farm takes a one week break from CSA to catch up on some mid season weeding and infrastructure projects.

Help Us Help Others
At MASA, we are dedicated to equitable access to nutritious foods. Throughout the season, we partner with several Food Access programs to ensure that everyone has the ability to access healthy, local produce. Please take this opportunity to make a donation with your CSA Membership to help another family access the sweet abundance from the farm.
What kind of produce can I expect?
We are dedicated to providing a diverse offering of the highest quality fresh produce and dried products throughout the growing season-going into winter as well. Boxes start a little smaller in the early season, building to a full bounty when summer fruits come to fullness.
SPRING/EARLY SUMMER
May and June veggie boxes are filled with fresh salad and braising greens. You can expect arugula, lettuce, spinach, peas, scallions, herbs, radish and sweet salad turnips.
HIGH SUMMER
July and August is when the summer fruits such as snap beans, cucumbers, melons, tomatoes, peppers, summer squash begin. Herbs, roots and select greens continue to grow through the hotter months. We aim to keep the salad bowl full with Batavian head lettuce. This is cut flowers time as well!
AUTUMN
As we come into September and the Autumnal Equinox, the cornucopia unfolds into the season’s broadest and most diverse selection. Along with all the summer fruits you can expect broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and fresh potatoes! Colder season greens like spinach and arugula will return. This late summer bounty continues through October when the official main season ends on Halloween.
