This vigorous Japanese cultivar produces dark orange carrots earlier than most other varieties. Kuroda's are characteristic of Chantenay and Nantes types. We started with this seed lot back in 1992 when it was our number one producer and top choice at the Silver City New Mexico Farmers Market. Our seed has been reproduced successfully in Boulder Colorado seven times and is very adapted to the Front Range soils and growing seasons. A very worthy choice for home gardens and market growers.
