Daucus carota
This delicious winter storage variety was offered in the JD long Seed catalogue here in boulder back in 1949. Its remarkable ability to get big in our clay soils along with its great flavor and long storage capacity still makes it a top ranked regional choice to grow. Our seeds stock started in Gila ,New Mexico in 1992 where it won best flavor in our initial carrot trials. Slow to mature. Worth the wait.
