Beta vulgaris
Family: Amaranthaceae
Outstanding tall top variety developed by the brilliant traditional plant breeder and friend John Navazio. We obtained this beauty from John in 2007 and started its adaptation to the front range. The selections were born out of large populations grown to feed a 400 member CSA. Recent seed lines are coming from Steve Peters of Seed Revolution Now a contemporary traditional organic crop breeding organization located in the Pacific Northwest dedicated to enhancing variety performance and eating quality in open pollinated cultivars.
