Super deep rooted  biennials used both as a culinary and medicinal botanical. An old world garden staple from many southern Mediterranean countries. Where it is used used heavily in many cuisines. The two main leaf types are traditionally known as  Italian flat leaf or the neopolitiano group and French curly leaf. or the crispum group. Parsley is also known for its medicinal roots. Specific varieties are grown for root production. One of the originals is Hamburg root Parsley used in central Europe as a  winter soup addition. Attractive pollinator plant.
