Jimmy Nardello's humble family heirloom has become a favorite amongst many gardeners and farmers worldwide. Thanks to Kent Whealy - the founder of 'Seed Savers Exchange' in Decorah Iowa we have this super sweet gem to grow and enjoy. (An Italian heirloom that made it here in 1887 in the pocket of Giuseppe Nardello - originally named for the most garden-devoted of their 11 children). Later maintained by his grandson Jimmy Nardello. The rest is history. ''Nardello Sweets'' is the name we gave it back in 1990 when we began growing it with Seeds of Change. Original seeds were grown by the late Alan Kapuler ( Peace Seeds, Seeds of Change and one of the fathers of the new organic seed movement}.
